What are Clearways's business hours?
Monday to Saturday: 8 Am to 5:00 Pm. We are closed on all Statutory holidays.
Is my reservation guranteed?
Once confirmed, all reservations are 100% guaranteed.
What do I need, to rent a vehicle from Clearway?
We require a valid driver's licence and a major credit card name on both should match.
A minimum pre-auth of $500 is required.
All customers should be a minimum age of 21years.
Customers age of 21 to 24 may be required to pay a young driver fees.
Customers must be 25 years of age to rent suv's or pick trucks.
Do I need a credit card to rent or reserve clearway vehicle?
Making a reservation requires a credit card, ie, American Express, Mastercard, or Visa.

Clearway requires a pre-authorized hold of a minimum $500 on your credit card, which needs to be in the matching name of your driver's licence at the time of rental. You may pay for the rental with cash, debit, or credit card when the vehicle is returned.

Prepaid, secured credit cards, and Visa/Mastercard debit cards are not accepted when reserving or renting our vehicles.
What type of credit cards are accepted?
Accepted cards for pre-authorization: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

We will not accept the following cards for pre-authorization, but they can be used to pay at the end of the rental:

Why is there a hold on my credit card and why does it take four to six business days to be removed?
The hold on Clearway's end is released immediately upon finalization of the rental agreement. If you still see a hold beyond this, please get in touch with your credit card provider.
Do I need a special driver's licence to rent a Clearway vehicle?
A government-issued class 5 driver's licence is required to rent our cars and trucks.
Class 7N (Novice driver) is also allowed, but Class 7L (learner driver) is not.
If you are renting a 15-passenger van or a 24-passenger bus, you are required to have either a government-issued Class 1,2, or 4 (unrestricted) licence.
What is the driver who is not the cardholder?
The primary renter needs to have a valid driver's licence and a credit card in their name. Additional drivers need to have a valid driver's licence. Both the primary and additional driver have to come into the office at the time of pickup with their documents.
Can I pay ahead of time and have someone else pick up the vehicle?
Yes, if the credit card holder comes into our office ( no earlier than a week before your pickup date), we can do a pre-write of the rental agreement.
If another person is picking up the rental, they will be required to show their driver's licence at the time of rental.
How do I get a copy of my receipt?
Upon return of your vehicle, you will receive or if needed, we will email it to you.
What is your cancellation and modification policy?

If I have trouble with the vehicle, what should I do?
In the event you experience problems, during business hours Monday-Saturday 8 AM - 5 PM, please contact your rental location to request Roadside Assistance.

What if I get a parking violation during the rental?
Customers are responsible for any violations they receive during their rental period. If we receive the notice of ticket, the violation amount, along with a processing fee, is processed on the credit card provider at the end of the rental or upon receipt of the ticket. The customer will be informed immediately.
What if i need to keep the vehicle longer than reserved?
The rental agreement is for a specific period as agreed to. it is your responsibility to return the vehicle on or before the return time on the rental agreement. However, we realize that unforeseen events can affect your plans.

If it is necessary to return a vehicle late, please immediately contact the rental location to verify availability.
Are there any special business rates available for frequent/long-term rentals?
Clearway offers special business rate programs. This is a good option for both small and corporate businesses that need to move either commercial products. We carry a variety of vehicles such as moving trucks and vans as well as cars, SUV's and large passenger vehicles.
